Key Programming

If you lose the key and fob for your car, truck, SUV, and minivan Canadian Auto Remarketing provides replacement and programming keys at your home or business.

Car keys have gone high tech, and replacing one is no longer a quick trip to the hardware store.  Most ignition keys now have a transponder that electronically communicates with the vehicle to prevent theft. The process of using a key programmer typically involves plugging the tool into the OBD-II interface so that it can communicate with the vehicle.

Each programmer tool has different options and procedures, though they typically allow the operator to pull the programming data from the computer and then recode the transponder and computer to work with each other. After the key programmer has been used, the new key should function just like the old one.
