Multi Point Mechanical Vehicle Inspection. Multi-point inspections are recommended because they provide you with a complete overview of your car issues, so that they can be dealt with before becoming too serious and expensive.

Most drivers tend to refuse this option because they are in a hurry and don’t feel it’s one hundred percent necessary. However, multi-point inspections are actually really important and can make a huge difference for the maintenance of your vehicle.

Why do I need it? There are a lot of benefits for getting multi-point inspections, since it allows mechanical experts to figure out if there are any problems with your parts, such as your battery, tires, or fluids. It’s one of the best ways to stay on top of the maintenance.

What is a multi-point inspection? An automotive technician performs multi-point inspections to properly monitor and check up all the different components of your vehicle. They’ll look at the condition of many parts of your vehicle, while looking for problems that could become serious down the line. A multi-point inspection will include an inspection of:

Chassis components * Seat belts and restraints * Battery health * Exhaust components * Steering components * Air filters, Belts and hoses * Shocks and struts * Engine cooling, Fuel system * Drive axle, transmission, and engine * Windshield washer fluid * Power steering fluid, Coolant * Transmission fluid * Brake fluid, Engine oil

When the technician is performing the multi-point inspection, they examine your vehicle for signs of wear and tear. Most inspection are color coded:

Red (needs attention now)

Yellow (will need attention soon)

Green (all good, no action needed at this time)

Doing this also allows mechanics to spot problems with the chassis, suspension, driveline, engine, and more.
